ABOUT THE COMPANY
The dance company located in Moreno Valley, California was formed by individuals who are tired of seeing our youth dancing on the street and in public doing inappropriate dancing and imitating the diversified negativity images that are seen in music videos. The use of profound languages pushes our youth to use body movements that are degrading and disrespectful. Being that hip hop is one of the most wanted forms of dance, this company will teach positive movements and introduce the many other forms of dance.
We have been given the opportunity to go into the schools and impact the youth with dance. The company has introduced praise dance to many of the youth, which has expressive interpretation and lyrical dance. Combined with the edited worldly music and the gospel help the company promote messages through the dance skits. Messages containing important issue in life and how to deal with saying no to drugs, sex, gangs and many more peer pressure issues. Not forgetting the importance of pushing education and to continue on. The company will also address obesity in youth while pushing the issue to be physically and emotional fit.
The many forms of dance help create discipline, confidence, motivation and respect while at the same time allowing each student to discover and identify who they are as an individual along with their personal gift.
Feel the Pressure Dance Company has built itself on a foundation of professionalism. All the Instructors and staff are trained professionals who have dedicated their many years of skilled training to the growth of young dancers and aspiring choreographers. Being that we are a non-profit organization our funding comes from both private and public donations, corporations, citizens donations, and grants received through federal and state, so that our youth will remain our future.
Our organization believe in helping young dancers achieve their goals of getting to the next level. The motivation of this organization is to conduct community interaction through educational after school programs, community recreation, events and performances.

Recently, Sheila Ferguson, CEO & Founder of Rising Star Music Awards has merged with Monea Williams, Founder & President of Feel The Pressure Dance Company their companies have come together to produce the “Rising Star Music Awards” in July of 2011.
2010 “Rising Star Music Awards”, this Red Carpet event will give recognition to the Best Independent Artist in the categories of Singing, Positive Rap & Dancing. These nominees will have a chance to perform and receive a trophy.
